Ioanna Kafida was born in Athens and grew up in Volos, Greece. She studied painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts (ASFA), under the supervision of professors Dimitris Mytaras and Chronis Botsoglou, Byzantine Art under S. Giannoudis and scenography under G. Ziakas.
